General Rules

To help everyone enjoy a safe, clean, and family-friendly stay at Jellystone Park™ South Haven, please review our general campground rules before your visit.

Know Before You Go

These rules help protect our guests, team members, facilities, and campground experience. Please contact the park if you have questions before your arrival.

🏡 Cabin & Cottage Rentals

  • Check-in: 4 PM or later. Early check-in may be possible by checking with the Registration Station on arrival day.
  • Check-out: 11 AM or earlier. Extended check-out may be possible based on availability.
  • No open flame cooking is allowed in cabins.
  • No smoking is allowed in cabins or cottages. Cleaning fees may apply.
  • Tents are not allowed on cabin or cottage sites.
  • Do not provide daily maid service.
  • Pots, pans, dishes, and silverware are included for convenience.
  • Please bring linens, toiletries, and camping gear to make your stay enjoyable.
  • Cabins and cottages are subject to Michigan use tax and lodging tax.
  • Pets are only permitted in designated pet-friendly lodging with applicable fees.
  • Hot tub cabins require parental accompaniment for children under 18.

🚙 Golf Carts & Off-Road Vehicles

  • No outside golf carts or off-road vehicles are allowed.
  • Kid toy ATVs with 12-volt batteries are allowed.
  • Mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs are allowed.
  • Golf cart rentals may be available for non-walking needs.
  • Adults must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license to drive a golf cart.
  • Drivers must wear a wristband to operate a golf cart.
  • All drivers must sign a rental agreement.
  • No alcoholic beverages are allowed on golf carts.
  • No horseplay is allowed.
  • Guests must follow all safety requirements and rental contract terms.

🔥 Campfires

  • Fire rings cannot be moved.
  • All fires must be maintained inside fire rings.
  • All fires must be put out before retiring for the night.
  • Please do not leave campfires unattended.
  • No burning of garbage is allowed in fire rings.
  • Only approved firewood may be used due to Michigan firewood regulations.
  • Outside firewood may not be brought into the park from outside sources.

🐾 Pet Policy

  • Jellystone Park™ South Haven is pet friendly, and friendly pets are welcome.
  • Please be considerate of other campers and pick up after your pet.
  • Pets must be on a leash 6 feet or shorter.
  • Unattended and/or noisy pets are strictly forbidden.
  • Pets are not allowed in the playground, jumping pillow, pavilion, pool, restrooms, showers, or store.
  • Pets must be up to date on all vaccinations.
  • Please have vaccination records available if requested.

👥 Visitor Information

  • Visitors of camping guests must register at the Registration Station before entering the park.
  • Visitors must display a visitor tag on the rearview mirror.
  • Visitors must park in visitor parking.
  • Visitors are charged a visitor fee.
  • Visitors must leave by 10 PM.
  • Guests are responsible for their visitors and should pre-register/pay for them before arrival when possible.

♻️ Jellystone Park™ Goes Green

  • Please use the recycling center.
  • If you would like to participate in “Going Green,” recycling options are available.
  • Blue recycling bins are available throughout the park for convenience.
  • Keep cabin and RV doors closed when heating or cooling.
  • Keep thermostats at conservative levels.
  • Please report all water leaks to the office.
  • Recycle and burn approved firewood only.

Important Reminder

Rules and policies are in place for the safety and enjoyment of all guests. Park rules may be updated as needed, and guests are responsible for following current posted rules during their stay.

Are pets allowed at Jellystone Park™ South Haven?

Yes, friendly pets are welcome, but they must follow the park’s pet policy, including leash and vaccination requirements.

Can I bring my own golf cart?

No. Outside golf carts and off-road vehicles are not allowed. Golf Cart Rentals may be available for eligible needs.

Can I bring firewood from home?

No. Due to firewood regulations, outside firewood may not be brought into the park. Approved firewood options are available on-site.
